About Us
Our Mission Statement
Fair Playhouse is an NYC-based theater school serving students from elementary through high school, creating a space for students to be part of an artistic ensemble. Our classes are student-driven, with a curriculum based on students’ needs, strengths, and interests as we explore the rich and beautiful diversity of the ensemble we create. At Fair Playhouse, our community of artists is committed to cooperative learning and creating an inclusive space for all students, including students with disabilities and different learning styles.
At Fair Playhouse, students have a Core Curriculum schedule that includes Singing, Acting, and Movement and are provided opportunities through Electives to expand their world as theater makers. With classes taught by experienced theater educators working professionally in their fields, our curricula integrates strategies that consider the young artist in front of us as a whole child.
We invite both students who are new to the theater to explore the art form, along with experienced young actors who are auditioning and preparing for conservatory programs at the college level. Our program is based on the craft and focused on the community.
Testimonials
Olga G., Parent
“(Our child) not only grew as an artist, but she felt at home at the (Fair) Playhouse. She found her identity, her voice, and her community with the help of the teachers. They not only supported her with her training, they created this beautiful community of students who support each other. Fair Playhouse is a very special place.”

"The Fair Playhouse team is just extraordinary. They deliver a rigorous pre-professional theater education for young actors that never loses the fun and the joy of performing."
Elyssa G., Parent
“I can't recommend Fair Playhouse more highly. The work my child did with the exceptional staff led to them getting accepted into the two most competitive performing arts high schools in NYC. Saturdays are my child's favorite day of the week! They've built beautiful relationships with their fellow students as well as the staff. My child is not only a better actor because of Fair Playhouse, they are also a better person.”
